carpet tile browning

a job i have just got has terrible browning on it. it is carpet tile with a loose pile. what is the best way to remove this and of couse prevent it returning and leaving their carpet cleaned? i only have hwe and basic bonnet cleaning gear. i have a de browning product(brown out) and an acid rinse(soft rinse). advice would be appreciated.

no its polyprop and the browning is from the previous clean (about a month ago) it is probably bitumen browning from the backing. may take the job on a no result no fee basis as i am unsure whether i can remove it. micro splitters and a bonnet followed with turbo dryers were my ideas.

Where are you located?

If its bitumin from the backing leave it alone, this is the previous cleaners problem and why didn't they get them back or claim against them.

It could be where a HWE has been carried out with no pre vac, soil has wicked back to surface very common problem with low profile carpet tiles.

Test an area first with MS and charly pad, if it works then set what ever price you charge.I certainly would not offer no result no fee why on earth should you hey have called you in for a corrective clean and should be charged accordingly.

based in the north west many thanks for the help. i was just concerned about the permanancy of the bitumen/browning. the previous cowboys disappeared without trace

MS appear to be similar to what we call Procyon, which is STPP based.

Are the charley pads something special?

We use a thin synthetic bonnet with our 300 rpm machine, would the Charlie pad give me more bank for my buck?

Charlie pads are excellent value for money and they clean well! not sure about using them on 300rpm as the standard here for this type of work is 150/180rpm
