Well in my opinion it is well worth the effort Sean, I get about a 10% response rate from my laminated flyers, and I've even had people phone me up to say that they already have a window cleaner but they are very impressed with my leaflets and will be keeping them in case they need me in the future. I don't deliver mine in those kind of quantities, I only target large houses these days, but I have recently started putting out 100 a week all laminated and have picked up some excellent work. Most of your 1000 leaflets will end up in the bin and not even read, try laminating them and I guarantee you will see a big difference in your response rate!  ;)
I only post in areas i want work :) and my response rate is equally good if not higher sometimes, however i will laminate for times when i need too - rain, otherwise, i get a good rate of calls anyway, in fact my phone was non stop last 2 weeks just from 300 leaflets :)

Well I took your advice on the Harris Pole, which was and is great, I think I will get myself some laminated flyers.

Possibly post of the month Groundhog! Laminated flyers! customers must be more reluctant to throw em away.
These are just the ideas that keep this site fresh, someone on here yesterday posted that everything has been said/done. Cheers  :)

Thanks woofie and Paul, in my opinion laminating leaflets especially for higher end customers is well worth the effort. It can be time consuming, but what I do is print off a 100 or so flyers A5 size, then I sit on my sofa watching the tv and put the flyers through the laminating machine while I sit there. You can get a laminator from wh smiths for about £10 and I buy my laminating pouches from Binding Bazaar, www.bindingbazaar.com and I use the A5 250 micron size, its not the cheapest way of doing things, but I find the extra customers I pick up from doing this makes it more than worth while!!!  :)

do you print and laminate your own flyers?

just wandering what it costs , and whether it is cheaper to get them done , or print myself

I've decided to give this a try - I use A5 glossy colour flyers with a photograph of me in action - in better days they return about 2-3% without doorknocking and up to 20% with.  Recently this has dropped to maybe 0.2 or 0.3% and 10% max with doorknocking.

I'll see how much difference laminating them makes.

I checked out Binding Bazaar, their price was £36.12 for 500x250micron inc vat and delivery.  Found some on e-bay - same spec for £28.95.  Quality Laminating Supplies
