Dry the section off. Wrap 1-2 wraps of insulating tape around the section at about 20cm up from base. remove clamp bolt and handle and open up clamps ring, slide section back in. Re-assemble clamp.

Job done

can i just ask if  using a  piece of plastic from, say a coke bottle and putting that under the clamps... works ?? as some have said on here.

cheers.

also... i know it may not get answered... but the diy fishing poles are also put together by emporium etc..... do they also use gaffer tape to stop them sticking together?... or an alternative.

The tape is the only thing that stops the poles coming out of the clamps. If you paint the last 20cm of pole a contrast colour to the pole you would be able to use the pole minimised for each individual job as you would be able to simply slide the unwanted sections off your pole with the simplest of ease allowing you to work with the minimum of weight acquired for each individual job.

this what i do then have spare end caps with a zip tie loosely through (acting like a handle) to pull the cap off easily when you need to put the pole back inside a bigger section. it makes a 31 foot GF
x tel all you will need for any domestic, use the full 31foot for velux in roof on 3 storey townhouse and then wip off two or three sections for your bog standard 2 storey houses. I have an extra ez snap connector in my pole hose line so i can detach the flow controller easily.
