How would you price a pvc clean??
« on: November 07, 2008, 07:14:42 pm »
Quoted one tonight (£75 for a semi 3-4 bed, 2 small bays at front and one window, garage door, 4 standard windows at back and a conservatory which wanted roof doing......It was all really clean though so it only needs a tickle with pole, no hard scrubbing) After i said 75 though she almost fainted lol, last guy went out of business surprise surprise, charging £40 and two of them doing it haha, anyway i said if i do it every 6 months i will do it for £55, that cheapest and she agreed to get me some neighbours and family too, but i thought it was extremely cheap,

How would you quote though? Im going off gut feeling as i have been doing it long enough now to now how long it will roughly take....

I know! But like i say it should be just like a one off window and frame clean which wont take longer than an hour, and for 55 its not bad as it is on a road i do already, but £75 was more about right, oh well, i could of either said no sorry, or do it for some beer money :)

Con roof is tiny too only needs brushing with wfp from the ground

But my point in posting was, do you have a method ie £5 a window or per metre etc that i can use to be confident in my price :)

Well yeah obviously the glass wants cleaning at same time, but that dont take long, its basically a house that wants windows and frames doing every 6 month, And there is as described 2 small bays @front with 2 doors, and 1 standard window, small con @back 4 standard windows, and door, just wondered what you would of priced?? If it was every time i would prob charge £15, but i also wondered how you lot price pvc cleaning....

i do some houses as and when .i do two together every three months and charge 60 for the two . they are dorma bungalows. that includes giving their lean to roofs a once over . takes me about three hours but can do it as and when i like. still works out at about 20 ish an hour. this is a lot more than i ever earnt before in warehouses . if you can command  more money good luck to you . it is obvious why i keep getting more and more customers. but i do not think i am cheap , just fair.

I a m usually quite dear compared to most in my area, but when they say i will not pay that, you either lose the job, or drop the price, as i say it will still be 25+ an hour job :) and not out of the way....

HOWEVER...

Point of the post is.....How would you price a pvc clean ?????aaaaarghhh
