Prochem advice
« on: May 23, 2006, 08:47:09 pm »
Hi everyone, another newbie here.  I am looking at starting a carpet/upholstery cleaning business in Liverpool.  I can get a good deal on the Prochem Powerplus, but need to know what to get to go with it (or if another machine may be better)  i am looking at a stair and upholstery tool, what else may i need?

Also is it worth doing upholstery or is that a bit fiddly?!

Without doubt go for the Powermax . The Powerplus is too heavy 55kg The Powermax same spec (smaller tanks) is only 35kg. If you are thinking of going for the Powerplus - there are lots of alternatives at this weight - Nija - Cfr - which offer higher spec.
You will also need something similar to or a Sebo hoover together with a Sebo duo for pre vac and aggitation.
Last but not least you'll also need a good sense of humour and thick skin to deal with the general public  ;D
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master !!

Thanks for youer advice, isnt it a pain having a smaller tank though?  How often would i be changing them doing domestic jobs..  Also are Sebo vacums the best, wont a normal household one do the job?
