Tax and water bill
« on: November 10, 2008, 08:23:16 pm »
I'm on a meter, and use about 500-600litres a day. What percentage of my water bills do you think it would be reasonable to stick on my tax returns?

Why not get a cheap water meter & fit it to ur supply to the RO, that way you
can prove the ammount of water you use for work.

That wouldn't work. It proves nothing as it is not an offical water meter. You could be attaching the garden hose up to it. Tax man will go 'computer says no'.

couldnt you use the internet to find out what the average water consumption is per person per day and convert the data to the same units that your water ,eter uses and deduct the average amount.....cant do any better than that imo.

Thankfully in Scotland we dont pay for our water but that could be something to do with the fact that we get too damn much of the stuff   :-\
