hi i thought about a web site few times but imo i dont think they really work for carpet cleaning but i might be wrong , i would say most people would pic up the tom or yellow  books and if they did go on the web it would prob be yell.com or tomweb wouldnt it ?  u hav to be lucky for your site to come up if someone just put in say carpet cleaners in essex ?

putting the web adress on your flyers and in your yp ad ect will give people a chance to check you out properly and find out a lot more info about you.
also any1 looking at it is definetly interested in getting there carpet cleaned so if you have the right content in it you have a good chance of getting the work
and its so cheap if i get 1 small job a year of mine its paid for itself.

Gary,

You say you have to be lucky for your site to come up if you just put carpet cleaners essex in Google.

Luck doesn't come into it  ;)

Cheers,

i dont see how you can tell doug hes spot on saying luck dont come into it.

and on your reply in the thread "websites" you say the reason your site wasnt listed was purely bad luck.

dont make sense to me

Hello Pat (cloverclean)

Just had my website finished the other day...see what you think ? www.cleanteamnortheast.co.uk   The guy who did it is Dave Allen and can be contacted at www.clockweb.co.uk

He charged me £100 plus £25 to host the site and is with you every step of the way. £125 and you're up and running.
