I like two decent jobs and one tiddler at the end of the day. Any spare time is prospecting for ideal clients.

I don't want to do more than that, but happy to work Saturdays especially if I've had a below par week.

Still get pitiful days so not there yet.

Dave.

Dave he is in Northwich which is just down the M6 from where you are I reckon with a good wind behind it you could p-ss to his house from Chorley where you are , I reckon there is more money around Chorley and surrounding areas than Northwich

Would say that was aboout right John. Its spending time with the customer building customer relations etc that helps win other jobs & referrals. Sometimes its worth making the effort than rushing from job to job!

Good point gary :)

I alway have a chat and get to know the clients.

Have a cup of tea or coffee etc and spend time as you say

Could not do with just flitting from job to job without that.

I find doing a good job helps.
Most people want you in and out again as quick as possible so they can sort themselves out.

not one of my customers have given me the feeling theyve wanted me out as quick as possible, in fact i regularly get "would you like a brew before you leave"
and thats sometimes when i'm jumping in the van, different people, different areas i suppose.

Me too Derek, sometimes I wish they would shut up and let me get on with it, but then I remind myself they are paying for the extra service that I give them which is someone listening to them.

I like to think they get therapy as part of the deal. ;D

I like to let them talk then they tell all their friends how interesting I am. ;D

If I get really fed up I do a pattern interupt and put them in a trance. Have to remember to wake them up though so they can pay the bill. 8)

John, surely theres more money in Cheshire than Lancs, although a smaller county, the affluent areas are more compact.
Trouble is with all those cups of tea, its embarrasing asking to use the loo three times during a long job. I keep thinking I will ask for a glass of water instead, but I cant resist a good cuppa, when asked.
