« on: August 06, 2008, 09:42:53 am »
I'm thinking of getting a 45 foot Carbon Fibre X-Tel Pole from Gardners.
Does anyone else have one of these?
Are they good- pro's and con's any advice would be appreciated.
Just like that

i have a 60 foot x-tel

the pros - short when collapsed so will fit in most swb transit sized vans
telescopic - adjustable within inches rather than metre sections(modular) better for limited access
lighter than most telescopic poles
not to rigid which makes rinsing and removing bird poos easier(just a flick of the rist)

the only down side to them and its quite a big one ,is the clamps are glued on so if you need to replace a section you may have to cut off the clamp which will also cut the section making it shorter
