Good price and yeah its hard to find an insurance company that insure the gear in the van aswell as van insurance.

I just got a cracking deal on mine.
I was using Autonetinsurance.co.uk and they was quite good but renwal was £300 more than the new one I now have.

I will go find the details out for you.

give me a few mins, well worth a try.
I stated that I had a fixed water tank in the van, as many insurance copmpanies will not cover it (meaning many on here are not fully covered if they should have a bang etc) I did find the one most spoke about on here would also not insure a fitted water tank and that really did shock me. The one I have and have had all do.

I swear it was A plan but I could be wrong, that I called and stated that I had a fixed water tank fitted they went to the underwritters and declined to insure.
just saying your a window cleaning is not giving all the information needed, please let me know if I am wrong as I do not want to cost them sales, but I checked loads of insurances as I am very funny about this type of thing.

p.s please post back

Ian Windowwashers - who are you with now then that do cover tanks?

I spoke to A plan..  They put me through to an office that deals with WFP kitted vans, with tank fitted.

The guy I spoke to was Chris. Phone: 01993 841841 (8.30 - 5.00pm)

He said they deal with lots of Ionics, Brodex etc systems.

(The Underwriter for the Insurance was Equity Redstar.  All the info about my van specifically was discussed with them)

Equity.. heh, i used to work for them.

Are they any good then?

What about water tanks?

well i worked on the claim side, mainly private car, but i did dabble in commercial. Its amazing how much insurance companies rip people off once a vehicle has been rendered a total loss. You will get bottom book, and its like getting blood out of a stone to to increase.

Problem is a lot of commercial (we are classed as commercial being window cleaners) has leased their vehicles.. this is a nightmare in itself as the insurance has to wait for the lease company to settle.. (dont get a vehicle on lease if you can help it!) you will rue the day you did! Because it could be ages before you get another van through the lease company, and the holdups will cost you in insurance premiums in the long run too.

However, i didn't deal with the underwriting thats done in Brentwood, Essex. So i cant say anything about water tanks.

Yes A Plan cover the tanks ect. As above speak to Chris Stone 01993 841841. I have an Ionics and Waterfed Pole System systems insured with them, and they know of both. He asked if it was an installed or a diy system. Dont know if its any different if its a diy system as i didnt ask!
