Tuesdays only
« on: September 11, 2008, 05:29:36 pm »
I was talking to a visitor at a customers house today who said her cleaner hadn't been for about 3 months, when she saw him in town she asked if he'd retired, 'no' he said 'it's been raining the past few Tuesdays so I keep missing you'.
How does he earn any money only doing customers on set days every week?

I have a round where each customer is given the day that I clean their house...I have not lost any money due to weather...some days some jobs have to be rescheduled but it is not as bad as you may think working with set days.

Cheers
Dave.

I give booking, that are almost all of the time within the hour I say I will come. If I cant come and can fit them in another day I will call and arrange it. But generally I will go out in bad weather.

If he keeps canceling he will loss all his customers. Also he might not be conpletely ligit, in the sense of licence, insurance, tax returns etc and is not really bothered or examining the business aspects of a poor booking system.

You'll be there years after him and doing contracts he would never get in a million years, just smile and say thanks as his customers drop him one by one and call you.
