has anyone applied this to a plywood lined van and did you seal the wood with anything before applying thanks

Take out the ply,it takes minutes and you`ll have piece of mind it`s done properly.It will also save you having to seal it first,you can`t see if it`s damp under the ply but if it is all you will be doing is sealing in the water and it will rot the floor protecta coated or not.

with respect i think that is a bit of an underestimate that it will take minutes and so long as its designed to go onto wood and seal it whay would you bother

If it`s never had water in it then go over the top,if it looks damp underneath or your not sure take it up you will be sealing in the wet therefore like i say the water or damp will have knowhere to go and it will rot the floor pan as sure as eggs are eggs.

it has never had water in it as its a new van i just wanted to know if you have to seal it first as someone has suggested pva adhesive, but it says nothing on the tin and i want to coat it tomorrow, have tried the company but they've gone 'ome.
i will try them again tomorrow unless anyone can shed light

I would mastic all jonits in the ply first/ or coat with said item over every joint with a very think coating first then do floor, NWH is right in what he is saying.

Trouble with ply it is like sponge and protectacote is not perfect only takes a pin prick and water will go under the ply, and water is lazy easy route out is down which you cannot see if ply coated. I stripped van and put in new ply to sides I did not do floor for this reason. I would get some rubber matting for where reels and work areas are (toys are us child non slip matts look good saves damaging floor, as I said with the ply you could be open to real problems where as without ply on the floor the paint will start to show rust first, so sand down and fix with ply you will not see this.
