Holed hose
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:33:19 pm »
I have just had to de commission this hose, it is just over 12 months old and out of warranty, so i cant ask for my money back.

On closer inspection it is scarred in about 20 places, so no use trying to repair.

My advice is to only buy the hose with the stream supplies name on it or window cleaning warehoue, this is not a plug as my origonal hoses from 3 years ago are flawless.

I have tried 2 other manufacturers now and they both were pooh, one got replaced but the replacement didnt last long.   :-X

SHOCKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not as hard as some , you can clearly see how thin the outer layer is, It cant take much punishment.

I have 7 reels altogether with only one other which is newer this, al, the others are about 2 years old or more and are as good as new

I have 3 reels of minibore and 4 reels of micro bore 3 of the minibore are nearly 3 years old and there isn't a notable split on the yellow casing in sight. the microbore is newer but it is streamline as well.

I had that 1 Dave and i found it to be like cheese in terms of strength it was rubbish, the good quality 1 has like a shiny outer surface and when it`s new it stinks lol.

Has it got steamline on the outside ?  thats good

Can you see the weave clearly through the yellow ,  ?  thats bad

Is it nice and shiny ?  mostly good

Is it a bit matt and muted ?   Bad

If it`s shiny it`s good,if it`s matt finish looking it`s not it`s probobly old stock.
