Last time out with my vac and I don't know, it just didn't feel right and didn't have the suction it should have. Tonight I flushed the hose out - nothing much came out. Then I sent my drain jetter up the hose and blew out thirty inch and a half nails!

I had a one and half foot long screw driver in mine a few weeks back. Amazing what comes out of guttering.

the nails would have been used to fix tiles / slates, they get dropped and slowly work themselves down the felt ( the gutter is put on after the roof is finished normally ) but the nails slowely come down the felt

so tell me this how much suction should the vac have??? im not sure if mine is really all that strong does anyone no a way to test it. i have an omnivac which i bought about 6 months ago..

How could you measure it? I just know how hard my vac (not genuine) sucks and could tell something wasn't quite right even though everything seemed clear.

i  no what you mean but mine dosnt seem much stronger than the wee henry the missus uses...always wondered it

iv had the same with my vac hose i think i got fed up with it in the end.wat do you all use to flush it with clean a hose??? weve tried bangin it etc but to no avail.

any help wud be appreciated

They aren't brilliant when sucking up sludge, the hose gets lined with it and the mesh over the motors tends to get splattered in the stuff. You know by the weight when things are clogging, sometimes sucking a bucket of water up helps. My drain jetter is perfect for cleaning the hose out.
