I would buy the SL-X if it was in a 44 ft version rather than use my modular SL-2 pole anyday, even if it is heavier in comparison. I've bought the 'hot' 8mm minibore hose that was introduced to the wfp market by Alex and would have no hessitation buying the 44ft SL-X if it was introduced.

I've used the SL-X with the additional section supplied by Alex and also added on an additional section to the pole myself which I find very handy for 4 storey work. ;)

I still find it to heavy at the height it comes in as standard,i want a telescopic in a weight that is only slightly hevier than the SL2.Now what a pole that would be.

I mean, the SL-X will be as good as it gets for some time to come, and you should be happy with it (for now). It is a great pole really.

Yea, I would wish that too, but it's a bit unrealistic, really.

I mean, the SL-X will be as good as it gets for some time to come, and you should be happy with it (for now). It is a great pole really.
Why should i be happy with it,are you happy with things because that`s all you`ve got then.

No I would like it to be lighter, but (like my ninja edit said) I think that is a bit unrealistic. Other then making the section wall thinner, I don't see how it's going to get lighter, unless there will be the next step from Carbonfibre, which I have no idea if that exists already.

It`s not a mega light pole the SL2 is,i want mega light poles to work with.If there not really light then there nothing new IMO.

thats what I told Alex a few months back when i spotted this graph. that the ultimate pole would be a telescopic that weighs the same or very similar to the SL-2 or even lighter if humanly possible!!! NWH just wants the best, Luke

I think Alex needs competiton but in a good way...to push things forwards for us window cleaners. Im sure he wouldnt quite agree  ;D but its the best thing for the actual cleaners. And Alex does like improving his products! The SL-X and SL-2 are the ultimate poles.....and I really find it very hard to believe anybody else when they say otherwise about some other pole. They are tough, light and well designed....but NWH is right they could still be lighter!!

The SL-X is definitely my best pole but I do use other poles too as I want it to last a long time.

Doesnt that defeat the object... otherwise it isnt paying for itself and more. I use mine all the time, except when the work is 30ft + then I get my SL-2 out. Who cares if the pole is wearing quicker if your working quicker, the time it saves you far out does the wear factor and replacement parts costs, Luke
