hi all just wondering what batteries all the people that use the wfp trolly systems use. Its just because we have 2 trollys in operation and we go through alot of batteries. 1 can only last us 2-3 months which i thought is crap we do use them alot we clean houses up and down, on average ten 25 litre barrels per trolly per day, 4 days a week but still i think the battery life on the one we use aren't good enough and costs.

i'd like to know which batteries yous use and even links 2 where you get them from would be brilliant.

my leisure battery lasted years, i then dropped it and it cracked open and the acid make a right state of my drive ( its cleaned off now though and looks fine )

i now use a 44 amh bike battery, i got it from the tip, its now lasted me allmost 1 year

26 ah deep cycle batterys you should get a year out of one

I agree with X-line. Providing you don't deep discharge the battery regularly and do keep it charged up every night.

i use 18ah batteries which are intended for golf trolleys they are small and weigh less than larger capacity batteries making them ideal for trolleys. I have three batteries and after i use one i charge it up all night then just put it back in the van untill needed.

charge EVERY night for a minimum 10 hrs on trickle charge no matter how much use they have had
failure to do this will shorten life of battery

Do you guys charge your battery every night even though you might have only used it for an hour or two. Or do you run it for 8 hours or til it goes flat and then charge.

Ive got a trolley and a backpack so i dont uses either of them for the full day so just wondered what you recommend.

i charge every night now
used to run em flat
bloke at the wheelchair place i get batteries from said thiis was not good
he said charge after every use even if just half hour
and use a slow charger
this will prolong battery life
