Wfp unhappy customer
« on: August 06, 2008, 08:25:41 pm »
Had an unbelievable customer tonight, one of the few i turned to wfp last week.

She reckons i broke her double glazing unit on one of the small opening windows on a bay upstairs!! And also complained about marks on the window, when i asked where she said the rain has washed them off, i said you wont need a window cleaner then will you!!

Some people!!!

Alarm bells should have been ringing (Dodgy payer) 3 washes and you'd be lucky. Not worth the hassle of doing the 1st clean in the 1st place.

i know, like i say that was only the 2nd clean, i only did it as my bro in law asked if id take the street over as he couldnt do it no more (wonder why now?) the prices are really good so i gave her a chance, but no way was i putting up with that!! The rain washed it off haha still laughing now, the windows were still almost as clean as when i did them last week.

Makes me wonder how much of that i will get next week when i changeover my big round to wfp??

Custy...'But, theyll dry smeary'

Me...'No, its pure water, theres no residue or minerals in the water to be left behind once the water has evaporated'

Custy...'Well, I still dont like it.

Me...'Well, Ive been doing them like this for 6 months, have you noticed a problem in that time so far?'

Custy...'I dont have a chance to look at them its dark when I get in as its usually winter !!'

Me...'Its August!!'

Custy...'Even though............'

I have not had an unhappy customer for a long time.

But you get unhappy customers whichever method you use so i would not take it personally.

You can't please them all

Its part and parcel of the job, in the last couple weeks I have had 2 new customers who after the first clean said that the job was poor and they wouldnt require me again!

Even though both of them had me due to being recomended from neighbours of theres! They just want the windows clean and once they are then they are happy and think they can drop you and then pick you up again in 6 months when their windows are filthy!

Oh how both of them are in for a shock when they ask, I have 95% of houses in the street and have never seen another window cleaner in the area before! I will recommend they take a trip to a DIY store for their own ladders

Customers come in all shapes and sizes, some tall, some short, some fat some thin,  so what, I hear you say, has this got to do with window cleaning?

The point I am making is these are just the things about them you can see. Just as variable is what goes on between their ears but you can't see that.

Some customers are happy and easy to please, others are miserable and find fault with everything. (Some are downright weird!)

Thats why I never bother about them, cut them loose and let them go. You really can't please everyone. The mistake is trying to hang on to them. Gradually over time you build up a round of nice easy customers.

Do you get the ones who watch you from inside for the whole clean then answer the door with "i'll see if i can find my cheque book" then leave you waiting for ten minutes. ::)?

YEP! I get them all the time. I have one old lady who takes ages to get to the door then has to go back and get her purse every time.  she knows its me at the door, if she has so much trouble walking you thing she would try and save herself the extra trip.

What about the ones who come to the door with the right money every time and always ask 'how much is it?' !!!!!
