Any cure for sticky varistream button?
« on: August 08, 2008, 06:20:13 pm »
My controller is acting up today. The button is sticking to I have had to resort to disconnecting the battery clamp instead of trying to turn it off using the button. Any known cure?

hi
had mine a while now with no problems regarding switch ,either fit a seperate switch to turn on/ off, or do as i do [once you get it working ] switch on first job, dont switch of till end of the day - saves wear on switch

put an on/off switch in between the varistream and the battery use this to turn the power up and down and only use the varistream button to adjust the flow. I have found this is the best way to make a varistream last, however  i imagine you wouldn't have this problem with a digital varistream.

Exactly what I would suggest. Those switches are rubbish and soon wear out.
