used to use brasher gortex leather boots, were good- got 2 winters out of them ,just  bought a pair of brasher borgue gtx gortex boots , cordura /suede uppers , vibram sole , look harder wearing than my previous leather boots , wore them together with my berghaus gortex water proofs, on a long weekend trip to lake district last weekend. went into langdale on the monday -weather was awfull , went to the top of the pikes , weather got worse higher i went -side ways rain gales ect, crossing water falls up to ankle length, stayed ompletley dry and comfortable, so using with wfp will be a breeze  ;D.one tip if you are going to spend a lot of money on boots, £109.99 in my case , is go to a walking /out door shop ,and get them fitted properly, as you will probably need to go up a size from what you normally wear .
