SAVINGS CLUB WITH SUPPLIERS
« on: August 03, 2008, 05:07:17 pm »
dont know about any of you, but i hate credit facilities and i will do anything to avoid it, pay cash ect, wouldn't it be good if suppliers had a pay it up savings book, where you paid in what ever you had spare every week or month,  until we came up with the full amount to buy what ever it is you want especially if it costs a few hundred quid, i just think this is something the suppliers should think about, i would pay so much by direct debit, to the supplier of my choice no problem, suppliers have nothing to lose by doing this, i think we need this type of savings club, for the hard times ahead

The suppliers would indeed have nothing to lose.  The customer would though if the relevant supplier became insolvent.

Interesting idea, although it could happen that the piece equipment you have saved for has been bettered &/or become cheaper or exclusive from another supplier!

Think gardiners sl-x :)

we dont have to commite ourself to buy a certain item, we can save as little or as much as we like and spend as we like, lets say you where saving for a sl-x but on the way your pump goes, well thats bye bye to the sl-x  ;D at least the cash was there for an emergency,

You say trusted suppliers that have been around for years but i know of plenty of big businesses going bust after years of trading plus your meant to be a business to run a successful business you have to be able to organise your finances.

HI CLEAR-VIEW i am not talking about myself here, finacialy am ok, but i cant still aford to go throwing 400 quid or more away on fancy poles at the moment, if i feel confident with a certain supplier i would save the cash with them, if they go bust so be it, thats the chance we take, i still think its a good idea though,
