Pure Freedom 300
« on: August 05, 2008, 10:57:55 pm »
Hello and thanks for all the info over the months.

I have just purchased a van set up and have decided to go static. As part of the package I was provided with a brand new Pure Freedom 300 RO unit and am in the process of flushing it through.

I set up the inlet fitting and attached some 12.5mm hosing to my bathroom tap just to do the flushing through but cannot seem to get the water through to the waste pipe. How long would you expect the water to take and is there such a thing as too much pressure? I am playing it softly at the moment with just a general flow.

turn your tap on abit more see what happens, make sure you have the setting on flush too thats the little tap on it think it will flush if its in the "flow" position

i orignally had one of those 300GPD RO from purefreedom and the water come through pritty much stright away.

I dont use it anymore tho got a 4040 R0 1000 times better

Thanks Dave.

I had the carbon block in the cannister upside down!

Changed it round an checked all the connections, went through fine and got it down to 9ppm after a flush, I take it that is a good amount before it goes through the DI?

Just one more question, what is the cost and how easy is it to attach an auxillary pump to the 300 to increase the pressure and reduce the fill up time?

I have worked out to fill a 650ltr would take 27 hours.
