Is it any good?

Will a 100psi pump feed a 30ft pole ok?

I don't do many windows but I am looking to branch out into some fascia cleaning for my shops. Also helping out with some hard to reach window jobs I have had for a while.

I have been quoted £900 for a 50 litre system with filter system, 50ft reel, 100psi pump, 30 ft pole.

Cheers in advance

Dave

I started out with a trolley system, wish i had'nt now. Never use it . I would say it's a case of can you park and reach the jobs using 100m or so hose?

I have no room in my berlingo due to all my other work equipment (non w/c work) & I will only use the system for a few hours each week. So not wanting a big van mounted system.

My question is, are the trolley systems still able to do a good job with a 30ft pole? How much work would you get done with 50 litres?

Cheers

if domestics about 3/4 houses semi's

A back pack barrels hose pump etc would be a cheaper option IMO

a 100psi will pump water far higher than you should ever need

You don't need a large van mount system in your van you can make it as small as you need. with a trolley system you still need space in your van in fact more i would say because of the trolley. The amount of water you wish to carry would be the same van system or trolley.you could fit a pump and controler in the back of your van with ease i would of thought.

Judging by what you have said you want it for, I think a trolley system would be perfect for you. You can always use a trolley as a van-based system simply by putting a longer hose on. You cannot use a van mounted system as a trolley.

Go for flexibility

And a 100 psi pump will pump water to a height of about 200 feet. It's not the height that you need to worry about, it's the adjustability of the flow rate. That is down to the pump controller you choose.

As you are going to be doing fascia the finish you need won't be anything like as good as on a window, so you can probably get away with using less water for washing and much less for rinsing.

It's only a guess, but I'd imagine that 1 litre per min would be quite enough flow, so 50 litres will probably last almost an hour.

If your only doing fascias why not just connect your brush up to custies outside tap.You dont need to use pure.

Good advice.
All you need after a trolley is to swap water barrels for a tank. Add a length of 1" hose with an on/off valve with a  hozelock on the end and you have a van mount.

I cant see 50L lasting an hour myself or should I say has never lasted us an hour, time is money and water is cheaper than time IMO

Cheers Cardo, that would be great.

I feel a bit dodgy about buying one without trying. I could meet up with you any time in the next week (afternoons) as I have comitments in the morning that are important.

What a guy eh!
