what are the definitions

some of you on hear say either you are a pro window cleaner or just doing it as a job
so can you all tell me what pro means to you
and what just doing it as a job means to you
i hope i am a pro
i do my job to the best of my abillity
as safley as posible
polite to customers
were a uniform
etc etc
what are peoples thoughts on these two comments
no bickering now please ;)

I would say that a pro is someone that recognises that window cleaning is his profession. I believie that it is a craft and not just a job.

The idea is moot really.

Once you get paid to do something you are a professional, unpaid an amateur.

In some cases an amateur may be better than a professional.

I know amateur woodworkers that do stuff that professional chippies couldn't dream of.

How much quality you put into your paid work is down to the individual.

If anyone asks me what my job is, i say i have a cleaning buisness, but i am a professional window cleaner!!

If you’re offering window cleaning and do frames (some don’t), gutter fascia boards etc, cladding, conservatory roofs. Get my drift. I myself do all that so on my leaflets and cards have exterior cleaning specialist. Thats what we are and do.
