Making pictures smaller

How do I make pictures smaller? I want to make another avitar, using a pic thats 100kb, but needs t obe around 9kb I think.

Any free progs out there I can use?

Just sent you an image resizer thats available free from microsoft, if tha's no good let me know.

My pc does have image resizer on the right click menu on the mouse - is it the same one?

I think it is, let me look for another program I have here somewhere

use microsoft office picture viewer ( if you have office ) right click on pic then go to open pic with microsoft picture viewer pic will then open up in viewer to right click edit picture - resize or crop are two options avaliable to you -

if not email me pic and will resize for you and email it back to you boss

I used Microsoft Photo Editor and it worked.
