Just wondered if anyone has used irata training?
Have seen that some have some time ago but wondered if any one has found them usefull and do you know of any other training companies out there?
Also is there anybody who knows if you can reiceve the training and then go straight to work?
I have experince in rock climbing and abseiling but not used it before for window cleaning.

I use guys that are IRATA trained. I don't have all the info as I am not trained myself.
IRATA gives you the training to abseil within an industry environment. Many companies insist on it for insurance, risk assessment purposes.  Your rock climbing will stand you good stead as you need a certain amount of hours to progress to each level.
Start at level 1, where you cannot work alone or with another level 1. you have to work along side at least a level 2 as they are trained in rope to rope change over, rescue etc.
level 3 are basically the mountaineers and do any roped access work.
yes you can get work as a level 1 as soon as you pass.
approx £800 to do each level.
better off speaking to someone at the training centre.

I was planning on contacting the irata training but just wondered if there was any one else to look at?
Is there anybody who has level 2 and would be intrested in working in central London, along with me and one more guy who are both going to take the level 1 training with irata or another company who is similar.

you may be better off going to work for a company, as you really want to clock those hours up asap, to get your level 2. I think you need 1000 hours
Try Shadbolt Roped Access, I know they employ level 1's

thanks for info, dont really want to go down that route as been working for myself 14yrs and just want to expand my own cleaning business.
I will contact the irata to confirm the qualifications.
I would still like to hear from anybody that is self empolyed who would be intrested in working in central London (have work waiting!).

We have everything you could possibly need and have insurance upto £500,000,000.00 for when we go air side at airport.

We have two teams we call reactive so normally a week if possible but can do stuff in a couple of days normally.

Crazy I know but like you say anything at an airport is not cheap including the flights at the moment.
