stainless steel has a grain, the reason why you can see the scratches is because they are going against the grain.

therefore the only true way to remove the scratches, is to put even more scratches into the sink but you have to go with the grain.

if however you can feel the scratches as you rub your fingers over them, then you may not infact be able to get them out altogether.

if you dont know exactly what you are doing, then be very careful.

Shiny sinks is good but it is only acidic acid, to go a little deeper I use 'Bar Keepers Friend' It costs about £3.49 from hardware stores. I have used it a few times to salvage sinks, baths and cookers.

If it is for a client, tell them that it will be virtually impossible to remove these small cuts, but you will do your darned best!!

Use the advise and products posted in the comments above.....and if they work!!!...your client will think you are the chuffing best cleaner around and a saint!!!

 As timbob has said, you will probably not get rid of them altogether.

As I said before Use the bar keepers friend. With this product I have salvaged a acid pitted stainless steel sink, an enamel bath which had bleach stained residue on it and a stainless steel cooker which the other cleaning company had marked with unknown cleaning products.

This product is now part of my arsenal.

The sink in question may need a few treatments, which you can leave on for 1 minute.

As always PLEASE qualify with the customer 1st and for pitys sake take photos if possible. As they may turn around and try to blame you for it!!!
