Just a quick Question, do any of you guy use the WFP only on domestic jobs? oris it more hassle than whats its worth ?

If you are converting a trad round to wfp, there might be some hassle.
But if you are doing a good job, the only hassle will be the customer.
Once they if any are weeded out, there will be no hassle at all.
As long as you are doing a good job.

I have found that 95% good for wfp.

The others are faster trade.

I do about 80% wfp. 

I really struggle with those windows with upvc decoration on the glass.  Sorry, don't know what they are called.  I find that when I wash the window, water will end up behind the upvc, and trickle down leaving dirt with it afterwards.  Gave up doing them wfp.

1OO% wfp, oh forgot I do trad the O.A.P'S bungalows.
I blamed my insurance company, the E.E.C working at height regulations, expecting me to go round all my customers to screw loads of eye bolts all over their walls and forcing me off my beloved ladders.

Tell your customers it's none negotiable, it's either WFP or you will have to pack it in.
You can't work off ladders with no accident insurance.

I converted my 99% domestic round to WFP last October. Lost 4 custies out of 400 but have since gained many more mainly via word of mouth or through seeing me working with it and appreciating it's H&S benefits.

water fed all the way , i dont even do one house trad no more , I ve been doing wfp from the start and tryed it all trollys -backpack and on my 3rd home build van mount etc

I had a firm in essex ( JSM in benfleet) which i sold to the guys , they are still running round with trollys doing a house each , i went down to see them a month ago with my van and i was easy doing 2 houses to there one with a van system . 
 so if you can save the money and just build a van type system .

poles for domestic , ive had the lot but for 99.9 houses i have found a 12ft fitted with a gooseneck then put the angle adapter on the end of the goosneck then brush , light ,easy to replace when they wear out .   I see so many with 25footers --- why lol

Am from the CC side and a mate wants me up with him on the window side, he has 800 custys.........wants ride of some cos they are crap His words..

My round is fairly compact (all within a 1/2mile radius form my house) but parking can be a real problem at times so I use a Freedom trolley as it's very compact. I'm never too far from my vehicle to replace an empty barrel. As a result the trolley system works well for me. I now also use an Unger Hiflo 4 section 17ft pole which means I can do all my work with the one pole and I use a trigger on the pole which conserves water.

I have worked in light rain - 2 days since last Oct and the odd light shower - but for the most part I have no need to as there are enough dry days to complete my work.

I am now waiting for a slating for saying that

I clean in the rain if i have to and most people accept it now.
The trouble was converting the customers ingrained thinking that it isn't worth cleaning in the rain because the windows will get messy again.
I found the most acceptable way was just to clean anyway and if intercepted before i start then to explain that it can be done.
