Picked up 3 new custys today who had self cleaning glass installed by the council a couple of months back, they all complained that they looked filthy. Round my way the council has embarked on updating all council houses with double glazing...hopefully I will benefit!

I have Pilkington self clean glass (installed 18 months ago).

a custy of ours has had a conservatory built.  It wont need doing she told me as its self cleaning. 
I had a smile and said we'll see. 
This is her second conservatory and the other one is always coated in bird nuts as the chap over the road keeps about 5 million racing pigeons. 
She looked so proud of the fact that its self cleaning and seemed quite annoyed when I laughed at her.

You should not laugh at a customer ever (to her face) inside yes.

I would have said thats great I hope it works, if they start getting to bad please let me know asap to clean them or it will cost more to get them back the way they should be.

they do like nice dont they  give them a compliment helps taking the P out off them does not. if you had of laughed at me I would have laughed back and said your sacked.

Not having a pop at you at all as I know full well where you are coming from I get this all the time, just you may want to look at the laughing at your customers as I feel this is bad for business.

This custy is one of our longest standing clients.  We get on really well   and have the crack all the time .  If you think that I would laugh in the face one of my custies then you are wrong matey.  The reason I laughed at her was because she was telling me all about this amazing glass and her speal sounded like an advert.  She must have memorised what the salesman had told her. 

Well she didnt sack me there and then and I know I will have to clean the conservatory when they cant see day light out of it cos of bird mess.  Then I will laugh at her again.

Not in my experience...

I clean a conservatory roof that has self cleaning glass in, and its always caked in bird poo. The glass sheets really nicely, so always dries nice, but it still requires a lot of scrubbing to come clean.

Was Just replying to what I read m8tey, as I said I was not having a pop at all, I know what you mean I have many customers I can joke with, but reading what you wrote was my relpy
Customers make me laugh I hide most of it so I can laugh with none I would laugh at.
