Purchased a trolley system and a 300 gpd ro man system for my son, hooked everything up to a hose pipe and tap, tested it all out, after a few hours managed to get about 31 ltrs an hour out of it showing a pressure of 58lbs, thought that was pretty good.

Spent the weekend putting in a pipe for its own feed, so no more hose and tap, hooked it all up last night, and began filling a 1000 ltr ibc, got a phone call this morning, telling me that only 200 ltrs of product has been produced!

Pressure is now at 59 lbs, no leaks in new piping, flushed the system for 10 mins, and now producing about 12 ltrs an hour, has anyone any ideas?

Only 2 readings on the dial mate lbs and kgs pounds 58 and kg nearly 4, sorry

I think that is around 4 bar. Not brill, you may need to get a booster pump.


If you were producing more with the hose, why dont you change back to the hose and see if it makes any difference 2nd time round.


I have 4.5 bar and it takes 3days and 2 nights to fill my 1000l IBC

Thanks for the help Bob, but seems weird that with hose, got smae pressure readings as through the new pipework, but now producing so little water, when you say a booster pump, can you give me an idea what you mean, ie. where from, and how to connect it?

Thanks for the help Bob, going to reconnect the hose, and see if that makes a difference first, just hope I dont flood the bloody kitchen again!

Well connected it back up via the tap again, no flood yet!
But still no improvement, see to be producing lots of waste too, dont really want to spend out on a booster pump yet, as i am unconvinced this is the problem, anyone else any other thoughts?
