i used the fan jets for a day and instantly couldnt get on with them. found that couldnt get accurate control when rinsing

You can't get any more accurate than a fan jet, anywhere the brush goes the water is there as well.  With a pencil jet supposing you want to rinse the edge of the frame, you would have to lift the brush off the glass and aim water up to the edge of the frame.  Supposing you didn't clean the frames and only done the glass, then you would have to go over the frame to get water on the edge of the glass.  Supposing you wanted to waste time and energy rinsing with the brush off the glass, then you can still do this more effectively with a fan jet as the water is coming out the jet under more pressure breaking through the beads more easily, and flushing whatever is on the glass, with more pressure to the bottom of the glass.   Some may say that the water on a fan pray will spray the top frames bringing down dirt, but not if you watch where the water is spraying, and don't let the spray go up too far.

Peter

Nonesense, i don't clean frames, only glass, fans are messy, too splashy, pencil with a steady flow & the correct type of brush is the only way for me. NO SPLASHES!!!! ;)

just haveing a look for some fan jets and if you dont like cleantec ones then you will pay about £6 each for other types.
why are they so much?
iv hear you can use the jets from garden centers that spray the grass (micro something).

I can do you 2 jets for £3.00.

Autobrush complete with angle adaptor £65.00, or an 11" jetted Salmon for £35 again complete with angle joint, and hose adapter to fit any hose.

You can send me your details by email if you like and I will get one sent out.  It will be early next week before it goes though, as I am a bit short staffed at the moment.

Well I received the fan jets today.

I fitted them next to the already installed pencil jets so that I can choose which ones as and when.

Tried them out very briefly.. not sure what they'll be like but will be giving them a go soon.

:D Well? (or should I say Wells?)

What's the verdict?  :)  >:(  :-\

any good?  ::)

Joe i would go for the 11" 1 as it can be used on all windows, where as the 15" 1 is better suited to big plate glass. If you can afford it get them both,Peter makes a really good job of jetting the brushes.

Do you not get through twice the amount of water with 4 pencils.
I thought about doing that myself as i thought i would be able to rinse a lot quicker but never got round to doing it as i was thinking  of the huge amount of water i would get through

i do think i use more water with the 4 pencils but i,ve got a 650 tank so always have plenty and i really like the coverage on the glass and it works really well when rinsing phobic glass i leave the brush at the top of the glass and build up the flow and then just brush down for final rinse regards alan

NO! In all honesty, I found them irritatingly inacurate.  So swapped back to pencil.  The beauty of having both installed on brush!

I may give them another go, but I think they are ideally suited to Vikan oval brush (as I was told), which incidentally are suited to windows without corners! :P
