One of my neighbours hit my front wing in feb,just managed to get everything sorted with my insurance booked into body shop on tue for 3 days,3 days not working  ..Got up this morning and someone else has smashed into it in exactly the same place as the first one ,causing far more damage  ,he did leave his contact details though ,and lives 2 doors down from me .What a nightmare

My missus escort got hit all down one side, its a R reg, it was beyond ecomonical repair, so it was written off. Actually its still drivable so they gave her a cheque for £900 to keep her happy (the trade valve of the car), and told her when MOT runs out scrape it.
So you may get a cheque, then you need a quick repair, new wind mirror and then think about
1. getting a new van.
2. parking elsewhere.
3. parking in the same place with f-ing great bumpers with spikes on, so they come offf worse

Yeah had been thinking of getting a new van for a while,something a bit newer ! it`s just annoying as this one is in good nick no rust starts and runs fine fairly economical if i drive sensibly  ,and fast enough if needs be

I had someone pull out on me in February.  The cost of repair was more than the book value of the car.  I was given 2 options by the other drivers insurance company.  1, Car written off and i get book value,  2, Car CAT C registered i keep car and have a cheque from them.  I went for option 2.  I got a cheque plus i sold the car on ebay (advertised as CAT C).  I was better off to the tune of about £600.00.

Mark, at least youve got someone else to blame. Ive 10 years no claims with my insurance, but if I claim the no claims discount goes down to 20%. Just a couple of weeks ago, not quite switched on one morning, driving from the back of my drive (Tight squeeze) I swung the wheel slightly too early and rubbed the side near te rear whell against my wooden fence post. It just pushed in and stretched the metal a bit over the internal reinforcement brackets without taking any paint off. Estimate is almost £1,000 to put right. I was gutted, but got used to it now, so I'll take my time over what, if anything to do about it, I mean, I might do it again, you never know! These new vans are so flimsy.

Neighbours....oh did we have the neighbours from hell (moved now thankfully).
Over a period of 14 months (1) He reversed into our car (2) She reversed into the transit (3) She lost control of her motorbike as she rolled it off her driveway into the transit AGAIN. We came to nano seconds from a punch up over that one when he said 'It wouldn't have happened if I didn't park it on our own driveway '
Last year a courier driver reversed down the side of my new transit whilst I was at a customer (caught the b-gger before he drove off) causing £3k of damage and van in garage for 2 weeks.
Don't get me started on our Mondeo which must have hit me stencilled on it somewhere
