With the last throw of the dice to possibly save everything I've built up over the years i need some help and I can't find it.
Q. In the UK how many people are employed within the cleaning industry
Q. What is the turnover in £'s of what the cleaning industry does in the UK
Q. The average wage of an employed manager within the cleaning industry.

If you can help with where this info came from would be very much appreciated.

If I can't gather enough data and relevant arguement the Home Office have decreed that a person who I had lined up to basically run my business and move it forward, has been refused a work permit although he has already been over here 3 years in a different occupation.
So instead of possibly increasing my business by 30% in the next 12 months I will instead have to off load 30% of it.

BTW I have found out the industry employs 1 million and turns over £12 billion  :o Ave wage of a manager anywhere between £20k and £50k

It's some time back since I was involved in recruiting key people and things may have changed, but I would have thought the key is to prove that you have tried to find someone qualified and despite proof of your efforts you came up short.

Have you run adverts? What have you done to find someone?

Everyone has a unique skill set. If your Job Description just happens to match your guys skills/experience very closely  ;) you may have a better chance. Proof of pro-actively looking and not getting the right candidates is crucial though.

This is the Home Office arguement, but having checked with ACAS and Manpower plus others there are no rules that say you have to do this.
ACAS and Manpower can't understand why the HO are being such a pain over this, and as we have found the HO rules change on a weekly basis. The rules have changed in the last 2 weeks and that is what they run with even though the paperwork and payment was received 4 weeks ago under the previous rules.

Surely you can find a capable UK citizen I understand there are many unemployed managers / salespeople etc, out there, able to do what you need ?
