Help needed.
« on: May 22, 2008, 09:29:58 am »
Right I was asked to take the lead off some windows.  It is the stick on stuff, so after getting the lead off and then the glue off I am left with a white shadowy effect.  I presume this is were the lead has react with the rainwater.  I have tried to scrub this but it has not come off.

On a side point.  I am sure it has been asked but as I am posting, what is the best way to get masonary paint off UPVC frames?

i took some lead off for a custy bout 5 or so years back and still the shaddow is there.

you can scrape paint off upvc if your careful. then use a good cream cleaner to remove the staining. used this method on building cleans before.

hi js

i done one last year for a custy.

after i got lead off , i used some meths and micro fibre cloths, then finished off trad,

there is still a bit of shadow , but custy was happy  :D

as for the paint use a green pad with a solution of cream cleaner, then rinse.

hope this helps
