If I measure the difference in flow between the first speed setting, and the fourth setting, they are all around 1.8 to 2 Litre per minute from the brush head, although I can hear the pump work much harder.

Why would that happen? I've extended the backpack hose with 3 meter minibore, got an SL-X, with a numatic trigger valve on it.

Is the pump not powerful enough for the 6mm pole hose?

haha, I ment litre per minute of course. 

I must say after using wfp for the first time on my own house, I'm puzzled how people can use this low of a flow rate on badly beading windows, I felt like I needed twice the flow. Just realised how badly my own windows bead, rinsing is a nightmare.

Use the WCW one, has a lot more flow and easier to carry around with a proper built in handle.

tim, you do know that you never fill the backpack to the brimm, fill to the level only, as this will restrict the flow, use setting 4 for first clean, thats more than you need, setting 2 for after cleans,

2 x 2 litre bottles with a jet going in each bottle,stop the clock after a minute a see what you`ve got.

You mean the 16l mark at the top? I used it will way less water then that, and the flow was still the same, no matter what setting. What can be the problem?

There has to be a limit to how much you can push water through a certain diameter hose whatever the pump.... maybe you've reached it.

i change my 2m jets to 1m this gave me a lot more pressure, when i had the 2m jets it was just falling out, could this be your  problem, what you will find is suppliers put 2mm on there brushes to work mostly from 60 and 100psi pumps, but for a backpack i found them to big, other than that, it must be your pump as mine and many others do the job no problem

Yea I guess it must be the jets then, they are 2mm jets.

So pressure is different then flow rate then?

yes it gives a lot more more pressure, i had the same problem, since i used the 1mm jets i have plenty of pressure now at the brush, am sure that will solve your pressure,

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense actually. It'll do the job, it's just that I have really bad beading windows, that probably doesn't help one bit.

I have one job up loads of steps, it was always a refill job until I tried this experiment.
Instead of having water constantly running, I wet the top of the glass, turned off the flow and gave the whole pane a good scrub, then I turned the flow back on to rinse.
THE RESULTS WERE EXACTLY THE SAME, you really don't have to have water constantly flowing.
I rinse on no 3 setting.
