RO Man 2000- 4000 gpd?
« on: May 04, 2008, 07:23:31 am »
Has anyone got this system or know about it?

I have emailed them for a price but wondered if anyone here uses it or has any knowledge about it and its performance.

I was also looking at the static Brodex one that does 200 ltr. Fills 2 static tanks automatically.

Again anyone know about this system?

Tony

Both these systems are simple, save yourself tons of money and buy a 4040 kit from gapswater (£487 - basic kit), any local engineering/fabrication firm will make you an aluminium frame board to mount it all to for about £70.

Depending on your water pressure you may need a booster pump (£200) and if you want 2 IBC tanks they can be had for £30 or so each all cleaned out and ready to go.

total spend £817 plus £20 or so on fittings and you've got a top quality system for well under £900.

Then you'll need a submersible pump (£40 from machinemart - einhell 240ltr/min with float switch)
Transfer hose and nozzle £25 and £25
 Grand Total - £927

So for just over £900 you'll have a pumped 4040 system, 3g housings, on an Aluminium board with 2 x 1000ltr tanks, transfer hose and nozzle.

same thing from Brodex is 2495 + VAT = £2931

Total saving for at most a couple of hours work - £2000!!

Thanks Alan

I already have one IBC and a submersible pump. My RO I just dont think will be man enough to do 2. All this is because I am looking at putting another van on the road within the next 3 months and am planning my costs.

I will remember gaps water so thank you.

I meant to say the brodex that fills two tanks has an extra 4040 membrane (+£250)

it fills two tanks because the outlet of both tanks is connected so the water level stays the same.

Its an extra £1000 + VAT from brodex just for the extra membrane fitted!

Oh meant to say the brodex one is auto shutoff - all you need there is a NC solenoid and vertical level switch, about £90 and somewhere to plug it in (along with the submersible pump)

There's very little to putting one of these systems together and the savings are huge.

hope this helps.

oh lastly the gapswater kit comes with desal ak membranes - top top quality.

sorry didn't see your last post - all you need then is the gapswater kit (pay an extra £30 or so for the stainless steel 4040 housing - well worth it!), the solenoid kit, booster pump (if your pressure is low).

I would get another tank though if you have room for it.
