I no theres a few people on here who have quite a few schools on there books, how did you go about getting these, my kids go to 2 different schools and nephew goes to big nursary, there all really dirty, do i approach the schools if so what do i take a to help get the contract, is there some where they contact to find out about local window cleaning companys i.e council so how do i make them aware of my company, or did they just contact you direct.Is there a routine to when they get cleaned, half term, easter, etc

in my opinion i have been asked to quote on 2 schools and they are real cheap scapes and i would just steer cleer because when you give them a price they try and say that is for the whole term

I do one school and only got that because I went and had a natter with the caretaker.  He basically told me what the budget was and how regular they wanted cleaning.  In this case ONCE a year.  (trying to talk them into twice at the moment) .   I priced it up how I would normally and My price came to just shy of the budget.  A good price too.

Have a natter with the care taker.  explain that you can provide risk assesment, etc your public liability will need to be 5 million I think.   
I am currently trying to get the school where my son goes.  Meeting the head next week.  Fingers crossed.

Schools can be good payers in my opinion, i registered with my local council and have picked up work this way, once they are familiar with your name in my experience you can get good work!

Defo speak to the caretaker. All they want is the easy life and they LOVE a backhander.
(not that i could condone this behaviour)
