Cladding cleaning help.
« on: April 26, 2008, 02:58:21 pm »
Hi ,

was asked to quote for window cleaning on a very big job, however when i met up again with top boss, he asked could i also do  the cladding.

I said yes, as i wanted the job & know i have no problems were the windows are concerned, but as i have never done cladding before i have a few concerns.

Can i clean the big panels traditionaly with pad and blade,, and as its new could i clean all lower level cladding with waterfed pole or would it scratch the material.

Starting it tuesday so need good advice, only got the go ahead yesterday.

Thanks.

make sure you have a stiff brush and a stiff pole, a soft bristle does nothing

and some hard surface cleaner, oh and if the sun is shining sun glasses.

price it well, 100*5m took me 4 hours, and your not gonna want less than £200, it can hurt your shoulders and neck looking up at that angle for too long

Thanks Alex,

Its priced up well at £6k, but just really concerned with scratching anything.

Lower level there is some bits of concrete (not much) whats best for that ?

To be honest, it isnt huge.

It is big obviously, biggest i have ever took on. Thats why job must be done perfect.

Its for a major building company & they have no window cleaners on their database, only me now.

If the jobs a good result, i am then in a position to be introduced to the client, to see if i can continue to clean it.

The building is roughly 95ft high, so using bronto access equipment & hopefully a skylift scissor.

Just keeping my fingers crossed everything goes well, worrying myself a little.

Start tuesday & they want it finished by friday, will seriously struggle with that.
