advice please
« on: April 30, 2008, 03:56:41 pm »
i would like some advice please, the core of my business is cleaning and clearances however my clients have asked if i can provide a carpet cleaning service to which i have agreed.
The carpets that i will be cleaning are mainly of the cheap cord variety, i would appreciate your advice regarding which machine to purchase.
bearing in mind that this will be secondary service and my clients have tight budgets to work with what is the best machine to buy for this scenario it doesnt need bells and whistles and ideally be at the lower end of the price range.

Thank you

By the limited information you have given I would suggest that you are looking at two methods. hot water extraction and low moisture (rotary)

LM is used a lot on low profile commercial carpets, and you can easily set yourself up with a slow speed rotary for nominal layout.

My only concern is the way in which you have mentioned the cleaning as a secondry service.  Carpet cleaning is a skilled profession and as such I would highly recommend that you book yourself on a basic training course.  This will allow you the knowledge to make decision on equipment, chemicals etc.
