Have cleaned many pubs out of hours. and only ever had 1 complaint regarding the TM.  I would choose to use Prochem PowerBurst on this type of work.  Ive tested it side by side with Enzall, Traffic Cleans & MS.  PwerBurst came out on top with each test.  It acts quicker, penetrates heavy soils easier and is the Professionals choice ;D.   No need to wait about 20 minutes like you do with other chemicals.  Spray it down and by the time you have sprayed the area of about 30sqm it will be ready for extraction,  plus there is no need for other chemicals to be applies or boosters to boost the performance.  If there is any VERY HEAVY buil up of bar tar then 3 -4 minutes dwell will do it.  Dont mess about with chemicals that may or may not work, go for one that is a proven worker in this field of work.  Enzall is also a good chemical but not as good as PC Powerburst.  With pub carpet cleaning the need for the hotest water possible is a must regardless of which chemical you choose.  The hotter the water the quicker the removal of all the crap & the quicker it will dry.  If your portable has adjustable PSI then i would set it at the highest.  You want to give the carpets a good flushing to ensure as much soil, grease, sugars & general crap is removed.  Using higher PSI and hottest water possible will eliminate the need for the extra passes that would be needed if using cold or warm water therefore less chance of over wetting/shrinkage.

Richie good post.

Dave just to add there is a difference between using an enzyme for the clean against a detergent, although they will both clean well, but in areas with lots of alcohol spills you get a build up of sugars which make the carpet sticky,an enzyme will break down these better although it needs a longer dwell.
For the rest of the areas powerburst would be my choice now as well.

Having said that Jason gave me some M Power at the CCDO and I have used it a few times with good results,I have some commercial work on this weekend and next week which will give me some time to play with it on trashed stuff, i will let you know how it goes.

Im sure the reason for pubs going for Wool in carpets is something to do with the fact it wont burn.
