To this date I have had 75 dyes colour matched by furniture clinic and had to get only one redone as I was not happy with the colour. Next day delivery half the price of their competitors, the PU is far more superior, applies easier and i would not be supprised if it lasts longer.
I had an email the other day from a leather guy who gets his dyes made by one of Furniture Clinics competitors  :D and he said that the colour match is very hit and miss as it is done by eye  ;D ;D.
Unless you send a large swatch which often isnt the case colour matching by eye is very  difficult, you should only mix by eye on the job and it can often take half an hour or more if your having a bad day.
The better businesses will invest a few grand in a decesnt machine, others wont and will just make excuses why they havent got one. On many occasions I only send a small slither of leather to get a colour match, and it is spot on  ;)

Can you imagine going to a paint shop for car paint or a paint shop for house paint that you want the exact colour match of and they said give us a few days as we have to do it by eye  ;D.

For any Professional leather technition you need to have the best possible operation and service for your customers.
I need a supplier that can supply product that is fast to my door step, the right colour and can be applied easily and at the right cost.
Furniture Clinic fit that bill   8)

Dave will do, if you can get that sofa in your van you could always bring that down to play with.
Oh and Dave dnot be fooled by advice on graining. Any body that has anything to do with restoration will tell you that the grain pattern on those sofa seats are far from saving  :D

Steve
When did you last have a colour mixed with us?  Certainly not recently.  Most go out within a day.
As you know all our colour mixing is done by eye and so takes a little longer as we have never found a machine that gives consistent results.  The last one we used (recently) gave only 4 out of 10 useable colours.

Maxi Cleaner is the strongest detergent cleaner there is that is safe to use on leather and this is always used with caution as it is so strong. Generally it is only used for dye transfer or stubborn staining.  It has recently been reformulated so may be not the same as the one you had Steve.

Every cleaning job is different and everyone has thier own preferences.

That's right because it took over 2 weeks never used your service again ::)

Again probably old maxi cleaner I used but at the end of the day I found ultra clean to tick all the boxes for my needs ::)

I'm phoning Joe, reckons he needs one more challenge after Hopkins. I reckon Judy could talk him into submission.
