I called a customer this evening because she insists on locking her side gate and I need access. Phone call goes something like this:
Me: Hello Mrs X, it's the window cleaner here. I'll be round tomorrow.
Her: Will it rain then?
Me: I hope not
Her: Because the last time I got home 10 minutes after you had left and it was pouring.
Me: I can promise you I didn't clean your windows in the rain
Her: But the sky was black, you could tell it was going to rain
(Both these statements are true. I didn't clean them in the rain and it did look a black. I had gone to this house specially. It's not part of a block I do.)
So I told her that if I phoned every customer, like I do for her, and didn't work in case it rained, I'd never strike a blow. I told her I'd leave it from now on. All this was said very politely. The funny thing is her last clean was in Feb and she is monthly. She called last month to say she would be away and so I couldn't do the back. But I could do the front if I wanted

No mention of rain. She has been a bit niggly before. These people p me off, but I am happier that she spoke. Now she's dropped.
The weeding continues
