This is not strictly a window cleaning issue but hopefully someone here will have an idea

I have a freind thats going off around the world backpacking and wants a water filter/purifier to take with him it needs to be portable and light and small enough to fit into the backpack any ideas where if their is such a thing one can be got or any other ideas

Why not just take water purifying tablets available from millets, you fill up your water bottle, drop a couple in and leave for the specified time.

Saves carrying an RO or DI around with him.
