We use cherry pickers for many Jobs not only cleaning windows.

An IPAF (international powered access federation) course is the way to go. You will get a license after completing the necessary training.

The cost of the courses vary a little but look to pay about £220 or so. Most hire centers will offer training or recommend a training centre.

The course is very straight forward and a bit of fun too

Good luck and enjoy  ;)

Do you need to do different courses for different types of access equipment?
Or is it say for any that do upto a certain height then another height and so on

There are a few different courses but we only use Self propelled booms and scissor lifts which are covered in the same course. (this is the most popular course) If we need a truck mount we hire an operator as well but this is very rare. 99.9% its either a scissor lift or a self propelled boom.
