Posting Poles
« on: April 03, 2008, 09:54:40 pm »
Hi, I wonder if any of you can help me.
I need a company to ship a pole to me from Dorset to Harrogate, north yorkshire.
Has anyone done this before and at what cost.
Do you possibly have a contact for the company.
Many thanks in advance if anyone can help
Thanks Robbie

A lot of the big companys like city link etc only delivery for companys that send loads and have accounts with them, but a friend of mine used a company on ebay that do collection and deliverys so maybe worth a search.

even though parcel force say they will not deliver longer than x... length, i have posted 3 poles at once with them which were all 6-8 ft  upto 6 kg packed. I prepaid for these online through paypal, then just took them to their depot and they said thats fine, their vans are usually big enough anyway and because their such thin items can slide in somewhere easy enough. I took off the brushes and gooseneck and posted seperateley or more compact and just coiled up the hose in a bundle and wrapped at the end.

Hi Robbie, I got it sorted in the end! I was placing a order with Omnipole (no not a gutter vacuum system  ;D) and asked them if I could use there couriers and they was happy to help, so big thanks to onmipole (top service) the pressure washer lance will be picked up at my place (Poole) on Friday and will be with you on Monday
