Name change

Following on from some comments in the Mr Sol thread why do people just change their names.
Actually it doesn't take much to suss out the 'new' name because the evidence is there, but why do people do it?

New name , new personality, a change of views and a different acceptance code maybe?

But it all shines through in the end.  ;)

I use to post under Easy Clean until one day my hard drive stopped. That's the problem with using Chinese modems, cheap, nasty and wreck computers as they're not really compatible. Couldn't re-register with my trading company name when I re-tried with a different computer on broadband, hence my name as user now.

Your PC doesn't have anything to do with not being able to login with your old details, you don't need to re register if your using a different pc if that's what your saying?

Also, a cheap chinese modem doesn't wreck your hard drive, your hard drive just failed probably, or there was a serious issue with windows etc.

I'm not the cleverest of people when it comes to computers. However I can vouch the chinese modem (by means of a miniature cd inserted into a cd rom drive) wrecked my hard drive and my cd rom drive. My advice is don't ever buy one of these miniature cd rom modems. It was cheaper to buy another computer then get it repaired. I've got the repair estimates from a computer repair shop (they're experts in that department) and the receipt to prove it. Not trying to start an argument, just telling it as it is.

One other thing, when I tried to re-join using my old name, the response form from Clean It Up to report the incident wouldn't work properly. The only way I could do it was to re-register under a new name. Explain that one to me somebody if you can, please.

You don't have to rejoin when you use a different computer? I log in from wherever I want.

As for your chinese modem, it might have corrupted your windows install, but it can't stop a harddrive, ie make it physically malfunction or break. :)

And as for buying a new computer for the same price, that's simply hilarious really. I could have gotten you up and running again in less then half an hour. It might have wrecked your CD rom drive for some reason, which is highly unlikely unless the disc shattered in the drive, but not your PC. They are rip offs, I'm fully qualified system administrator which includes being a fully trained IT technician, or whatever it's called here in the United Kingdom, and I can tell you right now they are full of it.

Anyone can pull the wool over my eyes when it comes to computers because it's a foreign language to me.
Ask me to manufacture absolutely anything out of most types of metal, ie. spring steel, mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminium or weld  by means of TIG, MIG, MMA or gas....easy as pie. I could pull the wool over most peoples eyes when it comes to metalsmithing.
That's the reason we pay extra for services, tradesmen, because we all lack the knowledge to do everything ourselves. That's also a reason why a lot of customers prefer to find a suitable service/tradesman in any field and stick with them out of trust.

Hi Wayne,

A little of topic I know but their is no email address in your profile for me to contact you.

In your post you say "ask me to manufacture anything out of most metal"  Well I am asking you to make me something from 1mm stainless steel which I have, just needs bending for a patent pending prototype.

I don't have a workshop full of tools and equipment unfortunately, other than an industrial MIG  and ARC welder in my garage.  However, if you email me: easycleanwayne@msn.com with a pic or two and explain what you want doing in detail, I'll give you my advice what's the best way to go about it.
