I Attach Metal Spikes to My Ladders they're great don't let the ladder move a cm on nearly every surface, feels a lot more secure aswell
you can't buy them though you have to have them made specially if got a stack of them if anyone wants to buy some infact.
Thanks

Do you pad out the spikes when the ladders are on top of the van?
Have you ever hurt anyone or anything with them whilst carrying?

No i don't "pad them out", the bottom of the ladder as a rule goes above the bonnet of the car so no one can catch them, and i've never hurt anyone with them either because i carry them safely.
Cheers.

Never heard of spikes on ladders, sounds interesting. I've found that the only 2 times I have had a fall, it was because the rubber feet were brand new and in very good condition. I think as they wear they get better grip. Spikes do sound good though, as long as you don't skewer any pets.

There great mate i personally wouldn't climb ladders without em, even on decking the spikes fit in between the grooves and the ladder just wont move. Amazing!
cheers shaun r.
