I have just been looking at prices.

the 53 ft facelift works out at about £1150 inc vat,

Excell £950 - £1000inc vat  height 60 ft

E2 £1450 inc vat  approx

Excell cheap but not sure of quality, facelift good reputation, s2 reasuringly expensive, I have held one and they feel excellent.

I have considered a superlite but would not be suitable for me in some situations, probably would make an excellent second high pole.

I have seen a supalite in action, light and stiff would love to have one but do need an extending one before i can afford the luxury of one.

If you wanted to buy more than one facelift then i would contact them directly & try to cut a deal, i did & i only bought one. If you were seriousley considering these poles & had a number of poles on mind i'll do it for you as i'll be contacting them very soon ;)

Yep i agree with you on that NWH but..... the ideal quiver would be the Facelift or equivalent and an S2 for the high stuff probably close to a thousand pounds there with your brushes, goosenecks, connectors and all. Now if i tell the wife i want another stick to waggle my brush on for £650 plus then eyebrows are raised in my house -followed quickly by a raised voice (not mine) :)

I assume you're married. Do you wear the trousers in your household?

nope

If you're serious about your partner then let her know that you have the final say with anything before she gets a ring on your finger. Otherwise it's doom & gloom all the way, you'll be henpecked and scrutinised for life,  lol

Theory is good but never works in practice. They are a superior species and have ways and means of controlling you. They all get you in the end. The male is programmed to give up in the end and stay in the chair and slowly fade away! Nothing you can do about it i'm afraid.

Poles are like shoes, you get what you pay for. There`s absolutley no point in buying cheap poles as they won`t last 5 mins and they will put strain on your body if using them for long periods of time, the best cheap pole going at the moment is the 17ft XTEL pole for average height domestic work you can`t go wrong, the new ones have also been improved upon i believe. If you use WFP allday long in glass fiber i wouldn`t go any higher than the 17ft XTEL,any higher than 17ft i would go carbon.

I believe that's the pole that I use for pretty much all of my 1st floor work (Xtel) .  Although glass, it's plenty light enough at that height.  I wear mine out in about 6 - 9 months with daily use  but it's cheap enough to replace regularly.  I just switch the brush, pole hose and other bits over to the next pole.  Some people have said that this pole seems heavy but I was switching from an ali pole so I didn't find it so.
