Left my wand in the van overnight last week and cracked the small centre piece with the spring in it.

Managed to get it fixed at a local engineers for a tenner but would like a few spare ones, where is the cheapest place to get them please. Carpet cleaning suppliers want £25, I bet someone knows where to get them for less than half that!!

Unlucky Gary had that before, frost burst both my on/off valves on the front of t/m last week even with heater in van. Took them both off so can manage till replacements arrive.

Anyone know where to get replacement valve seals for wand triggers?

Its only a small o-ring seal.

Any ideas?

I've done it before as well  a few years ago. Had pre-sprayed a big house in Bournemouth before I knew my wand was cracked. Never did get to go back and finish the job 

Had to cancel my second job last week as I was running late, the customer gave my girlfriend a load of abuse, what a dick, felt like punching the idiot. He had Chemdry there today, I was working around the corner.

At this early stage (or any stage) last thing I want is a bad name, although it was my fault for leaving the wand in the van his reaction was OTT.

Valve repair kits are a bit of a ripoff.

The only parts that break in a valve are either the e-clip or the o-ring. Both are available from ebay, Halfords or tool shops for pence.

The supliers will tell you that the o-rings are special chemical resitant etc. They need to so they can sell them to you at £20.00 a time. I have had no probs using cheap o-rings or e-clips and if they do go you can change them on the job in under 10 minutes if you have spares.

happened to me last monday  just set up to clean a school plugged in my wand  and water went all over the place. went straight down local supply shop got it mended and i was back to work in 15mins. and it only cost £3

Had it before myself.

Go to a large plumbers merchants, take everything you have with an o ring on/in it and buy 3 of each. Guranatee you'll still have change of a fiver
