Hi Guys,

I went out today to scope out 2 blocks of flats that im quoting a Management Company for on Wednesday morning and between them they had 36 Juliet Balconies (12 ground floor, 12 first floor & 12 second floor)

The railings had a gap of 3 or 4 inches and I was just wondering if its possible to use a swivel brush on these and if so how much of a pain is it?

Also how would you price them, behind them they look like pretty standard double patio doors I was thinking of 2x the price of the doors

What do you guys think?

Dead easy with a Bentley and a mk2 swivel. Did one today.

Not really a fan of the Bentley brush - not that ive ever used one I just dont like the idea of cleaning windows with the same brush the customer is sweeping there kitchen floor with 

Think I'll just give it a go with a vikan swivel turned sideways.

Anyone got any idea on pricing these on a 4 weekly clean??

Vikan swivel is a bulky brush so might not squeeze between the bars?

you may find has the windows open inwards these are the reponsibility of the owner , check the schedule

Thats a good point Ronnie lets hope so because although it'll work out good money for them cos theres 36 of them I could do without the hassle!

for a set of double patio doors I would normally charge £2 so was thinking of charging £4 if asked just for the nusiance value what do you think?

i just really dont think youll get that if im honest.

i do some and there not included, what you have to remeber you will be one of many quoting and you have to be competitive im not saying cheap but value!!

I hear what your saying, but from the couple of conversations Ive had with her I get the feeling that im the only one - just guessing as long as i come in budget its mine

so on the ones you clean, if you were asked to clean them from now on what would you charge?

Also what have you gone in with per window?

i would price per window but if its a big job i would then take a small percentage off has there is no travelling and not ;lots of moving hoses about ectect
them windows are so hard to do i just rinse but i do explain that they wont be cleaned properly

God what a joke 

She had WCers turning up at 30 minute intervals and the guy after me had travelled 10/15 miles judging by the area code on his van, and for what..................

2 doors and 3 windows inside and out    (communial areas)

And she had the nerve to hand me a spec list and ask about my public liability insurance.

This was 4 hours ago and im still fuming

Where about are you? the reason is that I know of one managment company that asked for quotes for some blocks of flats with Juliet windows.

They were quoted 60p per window (and by window it meant single, double and triple paned ones were counted as one)by someone I know, and the juliets double doors  were £1.20p, he never got the job, must have been too expensive.

Hi Williamx,

Im based in Warrington, Cheshire but it won't be the same job because although I was led to believe I was going there to quote for 2 blocks of flats it was in fact the 2 communial entrances.

The chap who was quoting after me was on his way in as I was on my way out and I had a quick chat with him and he was also under the impression that it was 2 complete blocks of flats.

I think his company name was Archers and judging by his area code was from the Leigh area so if he's a member on here say hello!
