Scotchgard's a registered trade mark you can advertise you sell their product BECAUSE YOU DO  but not IMO  call a company Scotchgard. I wouldn't want to come up against a 3M lawyer

There are loads of companies selling this stuff. I don't think that one has called itself Scotchgard whatever, just the website name. 3M must have lost millions when they cocked up on the original formulae so I imagine they will be quite happy having as many people as possible selling it now. As Steve says your local Prochem dealers can now supply it.

Well, why not? What are they going to do? Take a little carpet cleaning company to court for saying they are using their products. If you are using Scotchguard I really don''t see the problem.

Would Vanish kick up if you stated in your advertising you were using it? Nope.

I have never seen what fuss  is about if you use it you can advertise it

Only problem I had was I could not buy it so I could not advertise it.

Now if i have a good week I can buy it so I can Advertise it

I advertise Promite so why not Scotchguard

I do not know if £m have registered the word but I see no reason why you could not have a website
